In September 2007 it became the world's first ever feature film premiere with the Mail on Sunday, Britain's biggest-selling Sunday newspaper, buying UK DVD rights and distributing 2.6 million copies in one of the widest independent releases ever in the UK. It has since been released in USA by Image Entertainment in 2008 and will get a traditional UK release by Metro in 2009. Brendan wrote and directed BOG BODIES in 2007, a satirical horror-chiller set in Ireland starring Vinnie alongside Jason Barry (Titanic) and Nora-Jane Noone (The Descent). All US rights have been picked up by Grindstone for distribution via Lionsgate in 2009. Most recently, his screenplay Easter Sixteen about the Dublin Easter uprising of 1916, written with Shelly Goldstein, was optioned in Hollywood for a production as a $25 million action drama in 2009/10.
